Water comes to a boil so much faster than my last two electric cooktops. I was almost ready to switch to gas. It's very good at maintaining a good simmering temperature. The quality is apparent in how heavy the knobs are. I remove them to clean and they are so much heavier than ones in the past. I'm very happy with my purchase. I researched cooktops and this one was rated very high by Consumer Reports.

Love my cooktop except for the bezels

I have owned this cooktop 5 years. I have never had a mechanical or electrical issue with it. As with any glass top, you do have to keep up on the cleaning or you will see prints. It is not hard to clean, just time consuming. I love the 5 burners. The 2 front ones can be used for different size pans just by turning the knob a different direction. I do like to can. The front burner has an ultra high perfect for keeping a pot boiling consistently for small canning jobs. I prefer the low melt burner for melting chocolate versus doing it in the microwave. It is a low consistent heat which is perfect for chocolate and other low steady heat needs. Unfortunately the bezels which are only attached with some type of tape become unattached. You can™€™t use anything to reattach them. Double sided tape isn™€™t strong enough. This is not just a cosmetic issue. The bezels protect the interior of the stove from getting crumbs and liquids inside where the electronics are. I have had to replace 2 which at almost $70 each is disappointing. The first time I called support they replaced the bezel. The 2nd time it happened, they would not even though I have an extended warranty. They say it is cosmetic. But it does have a purpose beyond cosmetics. Aside from the bezels, I am very happy with this stovetop. When it is clean, it is very beautiful with the silver knobs.

Takes Getting Used To

This looked beautiful when installed. My first concern was that I could not see the outlines of the burners until they were turned on - and then after a few seconds wait. I was not accustomed to that with my old Maytag. The second concern was staining seemingly IN the glass. I have decided to give it some time. Hopefully I will get used to it, and the stains will not get worse.

Anything, any size can be cooked on front burners

We bought this a month ago and are pretty happy with it. Like all cook tops it has an edging where it meets the counter where crumbs get caught in and have to be cleaned out with a toothpick. We really like the extreme heat burner and use it often. We also like that the 2 large burners in front can be used as large burners or small so anything, any size can cooked there.

I love love love my new KitchenAid radiant cooktop! I hesitated purchasing this cooktop because of the price (I am cheap) but after cooking on it I fell in love with it! When it comes to stoves/cooktops, you truly get what you pay for. As mentioned by other reviewers, the knobs take some getting used to but it is a small learning curve not hardly worth mentioning. I like the KitchenAid reputation and will not hesitate replacing my cooktop in the faraway future. Buy it! You will not regret it!

Cracks Right After Warranty Expires

After owning this cooktop for only 4 years and warranty is now expired the cooktop cracked. Was told that I had make a prepayment of $350 to have a tech go out. If it is unrepairable I would be charged $135.00 for the visit. Or I can pay $34.99 for 12 months for a total of $419.88 to have it repaired. Really? Why doesn't Kitchenaid provide an option that just fixes it at a reasonable rate?

We like Kitchenaid products. We bought both the cooktop and dual wall oven in the sale around Thanksgiving 2024. Got a good price from Bray and Scarff. This model meets our need and we like the knob controls and not having to buy new pots and pans as for an induction type. It cleans up easily and looks great.

Unit is broken

I remodeled my kitchen in 2021 and I have loved this cooktop. Last month I turned on the front left burner and after about a minute, there was a pop sound, burner shut down and a puff of smoke rose from the control knob. The entire unit has not worked since, in other words, none of the burners will turn on. I am very disappointed in this appliance, and I am desperate for a replacement so I can start cooking again.

Extremely difficult to clean, (using cooktop cleaner) we have used it only a few times and it looks like top has circle marks from the burners. One of the knobs is crooked, I don™€™t know why. Operation is good but we don™€™t use it much because cleaning is difficult. One burner is out after just a few months. We paid up for a kitchenaid, because we wanted a quality long lasting cooktop. This has been a disappointment, well over a grand spent and we shave a product we cannot enjoy. We are contacting Kitchenaid for a warranty claim. Two stars because it does work

Never recommended a Kitchen Aid Cooktop

This Kitchen Aid Cooktop is made very poorly. None of the knobs are straight and they wobbly all around. Apparently today's Kitchen Aid appliances are NOT made the way they were years ago. This is our second cooktop of this model because our first one caught itself on fire and we had to have the fire department come to our home. No one in the house even used the cooktop at all that day. Kitchen Aid refused to take responsibility for a 2 week old appliance that caught itself on fire. Customer service with Kitchen Aid is horrible. They do not care about their customers. Would never recommend a Kitchen Aid cooktop. Would have given zero stars if it let me.

Solid upgrade for us

This was purchased to replace a 24 year old Jenn Air cooktop. We are limited to a 30 inch cooktop by our cabinet size and this one has 5 burners, which was a big plus for us. We use the two large burners multiple times daily. It works great. I love that the dual ultra power burner can be as hot as I need but also can keep a very low temperature consistently, which was a problem with our old cooktop. I gave it four stars instead of 5 for a few minor reasons: it can be hard to see the burner outline sometimes while cooking. There is also a white powdery residue that one of our aluminum clad pans has left on the glass, and it doesn't seem to be easily removable. The knob controls are easier to clean than I anticipated, but it would be an improvement if there was a series of temperature settings shown around each knob. An L, M, and H is all you get. All in all, we are very happy with it and hope to use it for many years.

I wanted to go gas, but my new home was not set up for it and induction would have forced me to replace more than half of my high end pots and pans! I got the the best electric cooktop I could find that had the Schott Ceran surface as I was really worried about scratching. I wish more manufacturers would make it known that they use this surface, seems no one promotes it! I also wanted real knobs, as I read many reviews complaining about food or water dripped on their touch control stoves causing issues. I have been using this for a month now. It has a very low setting similar to induction for melting butter and chocolate. It has a rapid boil high that, while not as fast as induction, will give a gas stove a run for its money. The controls take a little getting used to on the 2 larger burners as they operate differently from one another. Not a big deal to me after getting familiar with it. I read a lot of reviews that say this scratches easily and is hard to keep clean. Most of them must have never gotten the recommended Affresh cleaning kit, which is a must!(Kitchenaid should really include one with new units) Using this restores the top to a like new shine. Otherwise, just cleaning with soap and water and a soft cloth with work fine but will leave streaks on it's shiny surface. Very happy overall!

My original cooktop from 15 years ago had an element that quit working and couldn't be repaired. Features and styles changed over the years and I was disappointed in my search for a new one. I purchased this KitchenAid Cooktop to replace our old Amano Cooktop. My family so far are pleased however, I found this purchased model was produced in 2022.

Bad refrigerator

I took delivery of this stovetop, a dishwasher, an oven hood, and a refrigerator in January 2022. The refrigerator broke in November 2023. It was a fan and we paid several hundred to have it repaired. It was only covered for a year's warranty. My mother's 1970's Amana and her 1960's GE were still running without a single repair when she moved in 2006. So happy I bought Kitchenaid and am hoping the stovetop doesn't need repairs too.

I bought the stove top and was happy with the product until I found out that they only provided me enough tape, that is suppose to go under the edge of the stove top, to do one side. I went back to Lowe's and they provided a new packet of tape so I could do what the stove top instruction required.

Control knobs

I love that this cooktop has the dual elements and melt element. I just wish the control knobs all turned in the same direction to operate. Every time I use the knobs I need to check to see what direction to turn them for the heat required

Second Kitchenaid

My first Kitchen Aid cooktop failed because the control system malfunctioned. I bought a cheaper replacement and it was only good for burning everything. Took the leap and purchase a second KitchenAid. Wish it had numbers on the dials and the controls are not consistently orientated. One goes left and the next goes right??? But it controls and cook fine.
